The $425 million dollar winning amount is the sixth-largest in U.S. history and the fourth-largest for Powerball.  It was the no.1 prize for the draw, which is ideally drawn twice a week, however it had been rolled over and wasn’t having prize winner for 15 times since the last jackpot on Christmas Day. Since the last jackpot the lottery amount was mounting up, as there was no winner, it rolled forward for fifteen times and reached to whopping $400 million + figures, until Wednesday.

Generally the odds of winning the jackpot is one in 175 million, regardless of how many tickets a person buys.
