Google Android to Support Intel's Atom E-Series SoCs

  • Google’s most popular Android Operating System is going to support the future upcoming Intel's Atom E-Series SoCs, which is set to come out in middle of 2012.

    The talks are going around that Intel and Google have teamed up with a vision to release Google's Android OS optimized for Intel's Atom E-Series. This move by Intel is to get a grip in the mobile phone market. As we all know that currently the king of the Smartphone and Tablet arena is Apple’s iPad and iPhone with the ARM mobile architecture.

    Google’s partnership with Intel popped out on Tuesday while Intel Developers Forum and it was announced by Intel Chief Executive Paul Otellini and Google's senior vice president of mobile Andy Rubin. Both the companies have stated they haven’t targeted specifically towards Android’s focus on Atom SoC, but lend a hand to the x86-based architecture along with other architectures already saturating the mobile market.

    Otellini also displayed In addition to x86 support in Android, that there is a plan set for latest technology to hit the market by fourth quarter of 2011, which is going to allow the consumers similar experience across multiple devices. One named as Intel pair and share, this tech gives the users option to link to PCs and access whatever is on the hard drive. And another one called teleport extender, basically for text messaging which gives the users to access text messages and other alerts on their phones from a linked PC.
